The Grey roof tilting louvres can be manually opened or closed by using the crank handle. You may have them closed to create a sheltered space or open to provide sunlight. The Oak Garden Land Pergola allows you to enjoy your outdoor space whatever the British weather has to offer. There is no need to open the louvres to drain any excess rainwater as it incorporates an intelligent built-in drainage system which allows the water to drain down the inside of the legs directly to an outlet which drains the water into the ground.
In addition to this, there are remote-controlled LED mood lighting strips around the perimeter of the gutter system. The LED strips come in multicolour and white options and are easily adjusted with a remote control. You can also set the lights to automatically change the colour periodically or keep it one colour. The lights are dimmable to your desired brightness.
Pergolas must be installed on level ground for Drop Side Blinds to function properly.
We recommend the following:
400 mm³ Concrete Pad: The ideal foundation for maximum stability. It sits hidden beneath your final surface (tiles, decking, turf), allowing you to drill directly through for secure anchoring.
Tarmac, Slabs, or Block Paving: If the surface is under 150 mm thick or made of unknown composite material, lift the area and install a 400 mm³ postcrete pad underneath before mounting.
Decking: Can be installed directly onto secure decking, but due to wood/composite movement, a concrete pad or structural joist must be positioned beneath each footplate site.
Grass, Soil, or Gravel: A 400 mm³ postcrete pad is strictly required underneath every leg/footplate when fixing into loose ground.
If you purchase louvre panels the feet cover will not fit around the pergola post.
Disclaimer: If the pergola is fitted with privacy blinds, we recommend fully opening the blinds during strong winds to prevent damage and ensure product longevity.
